General Ledger with Polish

Provide support to Polish market by facilitating the monthly close process and supporting other various business projects. The role also includes Intercompany process and Fixed asset accounting.

What is it all about?

  • Participate in month end closing activities and financial reporting process
  • Maintaining General Ledger records for assigned financial companies
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly account reconciliations of all related GL accounts
  • Responsible for Fixed Asset accounting and related compliance controls
  • Manage Intercompany process
  • Responsibility for the preparation of VAT declaration for Poland and local statistics reporting
  • Close cooperation with other teams and local finance office in Poland including acc/tax advisors
  • Participate in special projects by supporting management and the project team in various tasks
  • Support internal and external audits by providing audit schedules, support and responses to inquiries
  • Ensures accuracy of all entries and reconciliations in accordance with GAAP, Compliance and SOX requirements
  • Engage in process improvement initiatives
  • Actively participate in training programs
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule if required
  • Further tasks related to the knowledge capture period and the course of processes centralization
  • Other tasks related to the role required by your team leader and Jarden BSG management

Who are you?

  • 3+ years of experience in General Accounting preferably from an international company supporting Polish market
  • Working experience in local Polish Accounting, VAT declaration preparation,
  • Educational background in Accounting, Finance or Economics
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Accurate, able to work to strict deadlines, and comfortable working independently in a quick turnaround environment
  • Good communication skills (both written and verbal) in English and Polish language
  • Able to build effective partnerships with internal customers and work as part of a team
  • Very good command of MS Office, especially Excel
  • Knowledge of SAP, Hyperion or EuroFib is an advantage
