What is it all about?

Responsibility for designing and improving the materials management in the existing Varroc Lighthing Systems (LMS) plants GLOBALLY, in addition to the overal material planning & logistics (MP&L) in EMEA VLS plants, including strategic and day-to-day support to the local plants teams.

Globally:
  • Ensure MP&L processes, systems and organization readiness for materials management of VLS plants
  • Maintain an optimum stock value of purchased materials in VLS plants
  • Support VLS plants with critical materials to avoid manufacturing downtime
  • Ensure proper design, deployment and use of system parameters to avoid overstock and shortages
  • Coordinate information needs to address global allocation supplier shortages
  • Create and maintain tools that will allow VLS to identify when financial impact is supplier’s responsibility
  • Create tools to identify supplier capacity concerns, and work with other VLS departments to prevent or address those concerns
  • Develop and deploy objective process and/or system tools to measure suppliers’ delivery and responsiveness performance
  • Work with other global and plant teams to maintain an optimum inbound freight level



For EMEA:

Responsibilities mentioned above, plus:

  • Work with VLS global MP&L team and plants local teams to ensure the right MP&L organization is in place for VLS plants
  • Ensure correct processes, systems and tools for customer demand management of VLS plants
  • Work with VLS plants to keep a world-class customer delivery score
  • Deploy best-practice processes and solutions for production planning in short and long terms
  • Work with Global MP&L operations to ensure processes, systems and organization readiness for new plants Optimize logistics direct labor headcount through continuous improvement
  • Ensure deployment of best practices regarding warehouse and line feeding activities
  • Improve the end-to-end Supply Chain overall performance applying Lean principles and business excellence tools
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities through continues improvement approach.

Who are you?

  • Bachelor degree in business or industrial engineering
  • Minimum 10 years experience in MP&L management
  • Expertise in SAP for Logistics and Materials
  • Proficiency in Management Requirements Planning
  • Ability to conduct end user training
  • Process improvement approach
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Energy, drive, enthusiasm and determination
  • Team focus
  • Availability to travel up to 30 % of working time
