Technical Configurator Specialist focuses on optimizing and maintaining our automation systems. This role requires expert knowledge and strong communication skills.
What is it about?
Join our team as a Technical Configurator Specialist and help us make complex systems user-friendly. Our software is essential for creating technical and commercial quotations for building plants worldwide. We are looking for someone to ensure it is always smart, efficient, and up-to-date.
Your responsibilities:
- Develop and manage configurators for our automation systems both locally and globally.
- Design state-of-the-art configurators for new automation systems.
- Maintain existing configurators to be up-to-date and efficient.
- Collaborate closely with Product Management, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Quotation teams.
- Train and support teams on new and updated configurators, provide data evaluations, and share best practices.
Who are we looking for?
- Technical education in electrical/automation engineering is preferred.
- Understanding of automation principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (German is a plus).
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-focused with good judgment and decision-making abilities.
- Bonus points for commercial education, experience as a configurator builder, and knowledge of SAP/PLC, Windchill (training provided for internal systems).
