Regulatory Affairs Manager

Regulatory Affairs Manager is responsible for leading technical & regulatory of the products, compliance with regulations concerning research & development, manufacturing, marketing and sales of products in the EMEA region, with a particular focus on Environment, Sustainability and compliance with the European Green Deal regulatory framework.

What is it about?

  • Stays abreast of regulatory developments in Europe, monitors changes in the regulatory environment, and designs and recommends regulatory strategies to assure compliance of products and initiatives with the applicable regulations
  • Ensures timely regulatory support and action
  • Represents the company in the European and National (Czech) Trade association, and assures active engagement with Trade associations’ activities in the area of Environment & Sustainability.
  • Shapes and influences Trade association agenda.
  • Fosters positive engagement with regional and global cross-functional teams (R&D, Marketing, C&SL,
  • Procurement, Manufacturing, Professional Vet Affairs, Legal) as well as with regulatory authorities.
  • Ensures that product claims and marketing communication, especially in the area of sustainability, are compliant with the applicable legislation
  • Ensures compliance of packaging, including labeling, with applicable national and EU requirements.
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of applicable regulations in the region and translates this knowledge into regulatory strategies and action plans
  • Researches, updates and maintains regulatory intelligence files. Writes regulatory assessments and regulatory POVs as needed

Who are we looking for?

  • 7+ years of experience in Regulatory Affairs preferably in the animal feed / pet food or human food industry.
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements.
  • Trade associations’ experience
  • English proficiency
  • Knowledge of European regulatory requirements relevant to responsibilities is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills including interpersonal, writing, presentation and analytical skills
  • Ability to work with various departments, understand the business perspective; and provide advice, counsel, and leadership to meet market objectives
  • Ability to interpret issues that may impact the products
  • Ability to educate appropriate members of the regulatory agencies and trade associations on key issues impacting the company
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Office suites
